Orixás, also called Saints or divinities, are symbols worshiping the different elements of Nature. Among the hundreds of divinities still venerated in Africa, Candomblé worships about 50. In the bigger cities there are 12 most worshipped divinities. Every person is chosen at birth by one or more Patron Orixás identified by a Babalorixá. The Orixás of Ketu are basically the same ones as in Yorubá mythology. Olorun, also called Olodumare, is the Supreme God that created the divinities or Orixás.
